ADI duo Tom Woodruff and Alec Gillis are also contenders for the director’s chair. They incorporated elements of their ideas into the second film such as the Predator planet. They essentially wanted to make an AvP film in space, in the future but by the time they were hired, 20th Century Fox had already decided to go with Salerno’s script set on Earth. Colin and Greg Strause were adamant that they wanted to make Aliens vs Predator 3 when they were making AvP Requiem.
